Members of Youth Coalition, also known as YoCo, recently met to cap off their third program year. At that meeting, YoCo'ers reflected on their major accomplishments of the year as well as set preliminary goals for the next program year to begin in August 2012. Among their most notable accomplishments were: encouraging local government to mandate beverage server training for all alcohol servers and sellers; providing emergency resource information to the 1400 middle and high school students in the county; presenting a breakout session on how to build a successful youth program at a state drug abuse awareness conference; and logging average attendance of over 100 high school students at each of the six alterantive activities they provided.
